Background:
Gloria graduated from Ryerson University's Fashion Design program, and worked in the fashion industry for 11 years. In 1986, she bought her business, and streamlined her creativity towards home fashion and decor.
Personal Life:
Gloria is married with 2 active teenagers at home. Her home based business gives her the flexibility her family needs.
Reason for starting an Interior Decorating business:
I needed a new outlet for my creativity, and the flexibility of running my own business was perfect for my lifestyle.
What Gloria likes best about running her Decorating Den Interiors franchise:
I love the interaction with people in the industry, with other franchise owners, and with clients. You learn something new every day!
Most memorable moment:
There are many many moments that mean a lot to me, including being named Franchise Owner of the Year, Canadian Decorator of the Year, and most recently winning in 5 categories in the International Dream Room Contest in 2008.
Business Goals:
Increasing her business as well as her personal time -- "working SMARTER not HARDER!"
