Once upon a time, the bedroom was only a place to sleep.  But today, all that has changed!  Your bedroom can also do “double duty” by serving as a home office, or simply be a safe haven and retreat from the daily grind of your everyday work life. BedroomBedroom

I suggest you consider letting your new bedroom design evolve over time.  Above all else it needs to reflect your personality and lifestyle.  What are your favorite colors?  How do they make you feel?  What about fabrics?  Is it important to you to surround yourself with lots of soft texture?  Or perhaps a shiny, sleek fabric would be more you?
I was surprised recently when a friend proudly revealed her new bedroom.  She’d been working with a design professional, and together, they had done an excellent job of communicating.  The end result was a total room design that featured a beautiful, soft English Country look!  And believe it or not, this room was in total contrast to the remainder of her home, which could be described as contemporary – almost minimalistic. “This room”, she declared, “is me”.  Her husband loved the room too and actually called it the “heart” of their home!  What a compliment for a job well done.  Bravo! Decorating your dream bedroom can be fun and special.  You deserve to wake up each day to a beautifully appointed bedroom – so by all means, let your imagination and creativity be your guide.
