Easton, Md. — Decorating Den Interiors, North America’s largest interior design and home furnishings franchise company, will bring more than 90 design professionals to this fall’s High Point Home Furnishings Market. Franchise owners are traveling from 21 states, including across the country from Oregon, and from Ontario, Canada.

The company also is participating in a “Trending Interior Design Business Practices” seminar being hosted by Universal Furniture, Sunday, Oct 15, 3 p.m. Panelists are Jill Waage, editor-in-chief, Traditional Home; Barry Dixon, product and interior designer; Jaye Anna Mize, home editor, Fashion Snoops; and Lynne Lawson; three-time Decorator of the Year, Decorating Den Interiors.

Interior designers should register at www.UniversalFurniture.com/DecoratingDen . The first 125 in attendance will receive a copy of the new book: Love Your Home: Marvelous Makeovers from Decorating Den Interiors.

“Our visit to High Point is a massive organizational task for us,” says David Haseley, vice president of merchandising. “We may be the largest buying group that visits Market. It takes great cooperation and special assistance from the suppliers in our LIVV Home Collection™ of home furnishings. We divide into four groups so the visits to some 30 showrooms are more manageable.”

Special evening events have been scheduled at Olliix Design Center, Legacy Classic/Craftmaster, and Theodore Alexander, Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday respectively.

“As a full-service design and home furnishings company, we represent suppliers in practically every category,” says Haseley. “Even though I attend both the fall and spring market for the full number of days and visit our suppliers and prospective new ones, our individual design pros still like to come to market periodically in a way that they also experience the camaraderie of being part of our group.”

Upon returning from the market the merchandising team will put together a ‘Highlights of the Market’ presentation to share with those that were not able to make it to High Point and to use as marketing seminars in their home areas.

Established in 1969, Decorating Den Interiors has franchises throughout the U.S. and Canada. While many of its franchise owners come with previous design experience or from other positions in the home furnishings industry, some also come from other careers. The company provides extensive training in design, marketing, and business management, and is a leader in the use of technology to maximize profitability.

The company’s more than 135 preferred suppliers in its LIVV Home Collection™ enable its design professionals to offer clients a single source for fine furniture, case goods, lighting, accessories, window treatments, wall and floor coverings, and closet/storage systems.
